A faculty flute/piano recital will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 in Angelle Hall on the UL Lafayette campus. Admission is free.

Andrea Kapell Loewy, flute and Yuling Huang, piano, will be performing works with an international and contemporary flavor. The recital includes new works from composers of many different nationalities including Toru Takemitsu of Japan, Jindrich Feld of Czechoslovakia and John Heiss of the U.S.

Loewy and Huang will be releasing a CD with Centaur Records in the next year, performing these premiere works. Loewy received the funds for the CD from an Artist Fellowship from the Louisiana Division of the Arts.
