NLN ACCREDITING COMMISSION TO VISIT UL LAFAYETTE

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission will conduct an accreditation review of the The University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions, Department of Nursing on October 17-19, 2006.

The purpose of the accreditation review will be to evaluate the compliance with nationally established National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission standards. The survey results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which accreditation should be awarded the organization.

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission standards deal with maintenance and enhancement of educational quality, program improvement, and contribution to the centrality of nursing for the public good. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about such matters may request a public information interview with the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission at the time of the survey.

Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process. Requests for a public information interview must be made in writing and should be sent to the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission no later than five working days before the survey begins.

Such requests should be addressed to:

National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
Attention: Carol Gilbert, Deputy Director
61 Broadway, 33rd Floor
New York City, NY 10006

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission will acknowledge such requests in writing or by telephone and will inform the College of Nursing of the request for any interview. The College of Nursing will, in turn, notify the interviewee of the date, time, and place of the meeting.
