Tennis courts at Bourgeois Hall will be full Oct. 27 when organizers with the UL Lafayette Alumni Association kickoff the Homecoming 2006 Tennis Tournament.

Registration for the tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. with matches set to begin at 8 a.m. Everyone is invited to play. The tournament will benefit the Marty Bourg Scholarship Fund and alumni programs that support the university.

Entry fee is $50 per team and includes lunch, refreshments and t-shirts for each player. Prizes will be awarded to each member of the first, second and third place teams.

The format is mixed doubles. Best two of three sets, no add scoring, third set is a 10-point tie-breaker. Players will play a minimum of three matches. This is an all day event.

The tournament’s presenting sponsoring is HomeBank. Additional sponsors include Red Lerille’s, Kentwood Spring Water and Albertson’s Food and Drug.
