DRUMS ACROSS CAJUN FIELD BRINGING THE BEST IN NATION
Tickets still available for marching music’s major league
 

Santa Clara VanguardTickets for Drums Across Cajun Field on Wednesday, July 18 are still available at www.dci.org and by calling 1-800-495-7469. The UL Lafayette stop is part of Drum Corps International’s summer tour.

It event will feature several of the world's top drum and bugle corps in competition.

Drums Across Cajun Field is the only Louisiana stop on the Summer Music Games Tour. Gates for the event open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Nine corps will perform at the event including: Santa Clara Vanguard of Santa Clara, California,; Phantom Regiment of Rockford, Illinois; Boston Crusaders of Boston, Massachusetts; Glassmen of Toledo, Ohio; and Spirit of JSU of Jascksonville, Alabama.

Tickets for Drums Across Cajun Field start at $15 and are available in advance or at the stadium box office on the day of the event.

Founded in 1972, the non-profit, Addison, Ill.-based Drum Corps International (DCI) is the world leader in producing and sanctioning competitive marching music and related stadium events for the world's most elite and exclusive marching music ensembles.

The Summer Music Games Tour is a series of more than 140 competitive events across the North America. Every summer, each of the world-class performing units which comprise Drum Corps International will travel up to 10,000 miles, performing and competing in stadium venues across the United States.

Performances incorporate a wide variety of music and dance from units comprised of up to 135 high school and college students between the ages of 14 and 22. Each performance, featuring a thrilling spectacle of moving formations, spinning flags and masterfully orchestrated music, is judged on its general effect, music and visual elements.
