|DISABILITY AWARENESS WEEK APRIL 6 - 9 AT UL LAFAYETTE
| The Services for Students with Disabilities Office at UL Lafayette is once again hosting a Disability Awareness Week starting April 6-9, 2008.
The schedule of events include:
• April 6 – Movies with a disability theme will be played throughout the day in the Conference Center lobby. Movies including A Beautiful Mind will be played from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..
• April 7 – Food for Thought. Snacks, drinks and disability ettiquette tips will be distributed at the corner of Rex Street and St. Mary Boulevard from 10 .m. to 2p.m.
• April 8 – Walking in Our Shoes. Faculty will see what its like to have a disability when they take on a disability.
• April 9 – Annual Beacon Club Luncheon & Award Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Also, a panel discussion and faculty-training program will be held at 5 p.m. in room 103 Moody Hall. This is sponsored by the Diversity Advisory Council. Students with disabilities will discuss their experiences as students on this campus.
