Spooky ViolinsThe UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Michael Blaney, will be presenting its annual Halloween concert on Oct. 30, in the Angelle Hall auditorium.

Adults and little ones alike can get into the Halloween spirit by wearing their favorite Halloween costume to the concert; all orchestra members will be wearing costumes as well.

Musical highlights include: music from Harry Potter, Stravinsky’s “The Firebird Suite,” Verdi’s “Macbeth,” Anderson’s “The Syncopated Clock,” and Meyer’s “Rosin Eating Zombies from Outer Space.” Guest appearances will be made by the UL Lafayette Opera Workshop and Lafayette High Strings.

Admission for the concert is $6 for adults and free for those 17 and younger. All UL Lafayette faculty, staff and students are admitted free with I.D. All proceeds will benefit the UL Lafayette Orchestra Program.

For additional information, contact the UL Lafayette School of Music at (337) 482- 6012.
