CONVERSATIONS WITH THE CURATOR

A monthly program at the Hilliard University Art Museum at UL Lafayette will delve into the art world, discussing the stories behind an artist's work and the importance of art education for children.

"Conversations with the Curator" begin on Thursday, Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. with subsequent meetings falling on the first Thursday of the month: Feb. 3, March 3, and April 7.

The program is designed for everyone – from the novice to the connoisseur – and will include informal and insightful conversations that offer a deeper understanding of one or two works of art in an exhibition or the concepts and theories behind contemporary arts.

Dr. Lee Gray, curator of exhibitions and collections at the Hilliard, will lead an informal conversation about art. Occasionally, faculty members and graduate students will lead the discussion.

If you have any suggestions for discussion topics, please send to curator@louisiana.edu. Check the website for monthly topics. http://museum.louisiana.edu.
