CAMPUS CLEANUP SET FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 9

University of Louisiana at Lafayette students, faculty and staff are invited to the fourth annual Campus Cleanup event on Saturday, April 9. Campus Cleanup was founded in 2008 by students who saw a need for active involvement in campus beautification and preservation efforts.

This year’s event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students, faculty and staff should meet at McNaspy Field (by the computer science building) at 9 a.m. Participants should wear comfortable clothes suitable for manual labor and to bring a hat or sunscreen.

All work supplies will be provided, although participants may bring gloves if they wish. Lunch will be served following the cleanup efforts and free t-shirts will be given to students who participate.

Campus Cleanup is sponsored by various organizations across the UL Lafayette campus. Organizations and university departments can donate $25 and receive recognition on signage and event t-shirts. Sponsorships help to offset the costs of food, t-shirts and supplies.

Interested departments or organizations should contact Aimee Graugnard for more information at aimee@louisiana.edu or (225) 806-3008.
