|'NIGHT OF REMEMBRANCE' HELD AT UL LAFAYETTE
| The University of Louisiana at Lafayette
remembered its faculty, staff and students who died in
the past year during a memorial tribute Wednesday at the Alumni
A candlelight vigil was held at sundown.
Students who were remembered include Timothy Kenyon Cotton, Alexi Ondina Deauzat, Kenny Paul Donnelly, Ryan Allen Guidry, Porscha Jackson, Peter Glenn Lowry, Christopher Daniel Pope, Edward Jacobs Smith, Gerald Streva Jr., Wesley Christopher Sun and David Joseph Trosclair. Faculty and staff include Joseph Alexander, Joseph Chaisson Jr., Carrol Delaloire and Timothy Hornsby.
Mistress of ceremonies was Camille Claibourne, 1978 graduate. UL Lafayette President Dr. Joseph Savoie provided a welcome address. Scripture readings and prayers followed.
Other campus representatives include Fr. Bryce Sibley with Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church, Rev. Scott Belmore with Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Rev. Daniel Hixon with Wesley United Campus Ministry and Rev. Eric Treuil with Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship.
