UL LAFAYETTE TO HOST 2012 SPRING COMMENCEMENT ON MAY 12
 
About 1,500 students will receive diplomas Saturday as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette holds Spring 2012 Commencement ceremonies.

The university will host a General Assembly at 11 a.m. in the Cajundome. Retired Lt. General Russel Honoré will be the keynote speaker. He is the former commander of Joint Task Force Katrina and is a global preparedness expert.

Doctoral candidates degrees will be conferred during this ceremony.

Master's and bachelor's degree candidates will have their degrees conferred at their academic college ceremony. A schedule for those ceremonies follows:

Cajundome

• 8 a.m. College of General Studies
• 1:30 p.m. B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration
• 4 p.m. College of Liberal Arts

Cajundome Convention Center - Exhibit Hall (first floor)

• 8 a.m. College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions
• 1:30 p.m. College of Education
• 4 p.m. College of Engineering

Cajundome Convention Center - Festival Ballroom (second floor)

• 8 a.m. Ray P. Authement College of Sciences

Angelle Hall (main campus)

• 8 a.m. College of the Arts
