Symphony Orchestra to Give Musical Treats for Halloween
Get in the spirit of All Hallow’s Eve by wearing a costume to the UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra’s annual Halloween concert.

You’ll fit right in, since orchestra members will be wearing costumes, too.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Angelle Hall Auditorium on campus. The conductor will be Michael Blaney, director of Orchestral Activities at UL Lafayette.

Musical highlights of this year’s concert include selections from “James Bond” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” Danse Macabre (Dance of Death) and Prokofiev's “Romeo and Juliet.” The orchestra will also present a world premiere performance of Eric Sharp’s “Renegade Convergence” featuring the UL Lafayette Dance program.

Admission is $8 for adults, free for anyone 17 and younger; and free for all UL Lafayette students, faculty and staff with ID. All proceeds benefit the UL Lafayette Orchestra Program.

For more information call the UL Lafayette School of Music at (337) 482-6012 or go to music.louisiana.edu to view information about all upcoming performances.
